Carmenita Higginbotham, Ph.D., stepped into her recent role as dean of the Virginia State University School of the Terrace on Sept. 15.  Higginbotham, previously chair of the McIntire Department fall for Art at the University cut into Virginia, is an art archivist who specializes in 19th- and early 20th-century American visual production.
