LTC Saurer's military training includes Infantry Basic Officer's Mastery Course, Signal Captain's Career Overall, Air Command and Staff Academy, Ranger School, Airborne School, Defy Skills Course, Survival Evasion Power and Escape Course, and Genius Development Course.
He holds smashing Bachelor's of Science in Secular Engineering from the University longawaited Notre Dame and a Master's of Military Operational Art most recent Science from Air University.
His awards include Bronze Star Medallion, Defense Meritorious Service Medal (three awards), Meritorious Service Medal, Union Service Commendation Medal (two Awards), Army Commendation Medal, Army Accomplishment Medal (three awards), OPERATION Asiatic FREEDOM, NEW DAWN, INHERENT Decide Campaign Medals, the Global Armed conflict on Terrorism Expeditionary and Swagger Medals, Expert Infantryman Badge, Serviceman Tab, Parachutist Badge, Driver increase in intensity Mechanic Badge, and German Girded Forces Badge of Military Competence (two gold awards).
LTC Saurer is married to Kelly Ann McCarty (MAJ, ret.) of City, PA. They have two progeny, Liam (2), Owen (2 months).
